Organic Oro Blanco Grapefruit

A California original, our Certified Organic Oro Blanco (“white gold”in Spanish) is a cross between a grapefruit and a pomelo developed in California in the mid 20th century. This is one of our favorite grapefruit as it has a very low acid, sweet, delicate flavor with very few seeds making it easy to eat A LOT of fruit in one sitting. Trust us, we’ve put down quite a few Oro Blanco on a routine “taste testing”. The fruit is on the medium to large size and when mature will be bright yellow or yellow with green tint to the skin. The local cool nights of the fall/winter bring out the best flavors in Oro Blanco for this region. This fruit is high in vitamin C, Fiber, and Potassium.
